Privacy notice

YouPager provides owner-managed business pages, local directories, outreach tools, and optional business-presence management. This notice explains the information used by the public site, claim portal, owner and agency workspaces, and administrator review tools.

Information we process

Google sign-in information. When you sign in, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image. We use this information to identify your account and create a secure session. We do not receive your Google password.

Optional Google Business Profile connection. If you separately choose to connect Google Business Profile, Google may provide the Business Profile accounts and locations that your Google account owns or is authorized to manage, including location identifiers, business names, addresses, contact details, categories, websites, and connection status. YouPager uses this information to display your managed-property portfolio, match a property to the YouPager business you selected, and provide the Google management features you explicitly activate. Connecting Google is separate from signing in, claiming a YouPager page, and purchasing a plan.

Business and claim information. We process business details obtained from public sources such as Google Places, along with information an owner supplies in a claim, including role, business email, optional phone number, and an explanation of their connection to the business.

Profile edits and photos. Owners may submit business descriptions, services, coverage areas, contact details, and images. Submissions remain private until an administrator reviews them. File names, type, size, moderation status, and review history are stored with uploaded images.

Security information. We process session records, request timing, and limited network or device information needed to protect accounts, enforce rate limits, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.

How we use information

We use information to operate the directory, match businesses, verify account access, show authorized Google properties, review ownership requests, moderate owner submissions, provide requested business-management services, provide support, maintain audit history, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve YouPager. YouPager does not sell personal information, use Google user data for advertising, or use Google user data to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Google user data: access, use and sharing

YouPager requests the Google Business Profile business.manage permission only when you choose to connect a portfolio. One authorization can reveal multiple properties your Google account manages, but every property remains unavailable for YouPager management until you explicitly select it. YouPager does not silently enroll, bill, or modify the other properties returned by Google.

YouPager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We share Google user data only with service providers acting on our behalf when necessary to operate the user-facing features you request, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent. We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers or for personalized advertising.

Connecting a Google property does not itself authorize a profile change. YouPager requires a separate, specific approval before submitting an owner- or manager-directed change to Google. YouPager administration and payment alone never establish Google management rights.

Sources and service providers

Public business information may come from Google Places or other permitted public, licensed, owner-submitted, or administrative sources. Google photos are displayed as live attributed previews unless an owner separately uploads a copy for review. Cloudflare provides hosting, database, file-storage, security, and delivery services. Google provides identity, Places, and optional Business Profile services. Stripe provides payment processing. Their own privacy terms also apply when you use their services.

Retention and security

Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days and after 7 days of inactivity. Invitation links expire after 30 days. Google OAuth refresh credentials are encrypted, access-restricted, stored separately from application source code, and retained only while the connection is active or needed to complete revocation. Business Profile content is retained only in limited amounts needed to provide the requested feature and is refreshed or deleted according to Google's applicable storage requirements. Claim, moderation, publication, billing, consent, and audit records are retained while needed to operate the service, protect its integrity, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You may sign out or disconnect an individual Google property at any time. You may also revoke the entire Google authorization from YouPager or your Google Account permissions page. Portfolio-wide revocation deletes the stored Google credential and stops future Business Profile API access; disconnecting one property preserves authorization for other properties you selected. To request access, correction, deletion, account closure, Google-data deletion, removal of a business profile, or help with an ownership dispute, email support@youpager.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before changing a business record.

Changes to this notice

Public browsing, owner access, Google authorization, agency-management access, and administrator tools have different permission boundaries. Material changes to this notice will be posted with an updated date. If a change materially affects connected Google data, we will provide additional notice or request consent when required.
